Seriously, how much inconvenience is a headset lead in a cockpit? In Engineering, we switched to wireless headsets for pushbacks because of the perceived danger of the headset lead being run over by the nosewheel (in a moment of inattentiveness). For me, switching to cordless was far more stressful. You'd worry the rechargeable battery would go flat, you'd worry you'd leave the base unit on the aircraft and there was a complex and sometimes slow process of matching the base to the headset (frequency-wise) so if you were rushing to meet an aircraft, you weren't always sure you'd get it set up in time. Do you need to match the frequency with the Tango headset (say if there were two pilots on the aircraft with them)?
