Not surprised. Turkish tourism is down more than 30%, with occupancy rates around 40%. For a tourist operator, that is a big hit. And you can bet that holiday costs have been considerably reduced, to attract customers, which again reduces the profitablity of those who do go.

But who would want a wetlease from Turkey? Hardly a reputable region to get aircraft and crews from - some of the worst standards I have seen in aviation. Did you know that no T captain has ever made a mistake - apparently? I heard it many times.
