Lots of interesting vintage aircraft use NW, but some are totally inaccessible and others dont encourage visitors to their hangars. So if Thing is visiting just to get close to old aircraft then NW may not be as good as he would wish. Still a great place to visit though.
Thanks Heston. I'll still give it visit as I've never been but it's in the list of 'normal and nice caff' airfields now rather than 'must do 'cos there's really interesting stuff to gawk at' airfields.
The only issue I ever have is with the 02/20 runways.
Ours is 02/20 and it's a mid point entry for light aircraft. I've lined up the wrong way more than once, and I'm not the only one.
