Probably true and it was only surpassed by Eket which was the "sump" for all the naughty boys for a while. Many myths and legends emanated from those two operations.
Dink was the sanest among the PTSD Vietnam vets at Eket. Ed "The Head", Wayne "The Pain", Tony the Portishead radio account thief plus quite a few mad Brits. A truly memorable bunch. I went to the airstrip for a 206 VMCBC and the TRE (a Brit) turned up 20 minutes late, vomited down the side of the aircraft, got into a car and left; job done !
