I'm in the same boat as you. I attended the AD in Sydney on the 30th of Aug and had XRef confirm my reference checks were completed by the 2nd of Sep. I was feeling a little impatient so I politaly emailed Qantas HR in question of my application status and they responded very promptly thanking me for my patience and enthusiasm and explained that they are still working through the internal processes and that they will update me in due course. They reassured me that this email does not at all mean that I have been unsuccessful and wished me a good weekend which was nice!
