I agree there should only be one airport.
Close BFS and BHD forthwith and transfer all the flights to LDY which after all suffers from the highest unemployment and greatest deprivation. Then there will be an incentive to fix the roads when the Belfast civil servants have to drive on them to get to our new Northern Ireland International Airport.

Infrastructure does need fixed here but not artificially like that where you would move the wealth centre and make another area poor.
Our wee country is only ~100miles across. If we created public transport and improved roads etc. you could be anywhere within an hour and a half. Then if all NI air traffic was moved to BFS with a branch off the M2 or improved road from M1 you could be there right and quick and the fact that we are not fighting each other for airlines could allow us to get a foothold in stemming the flow to DUB (who must be laughing all the way to the bank)
I take your comments as tongue in cheek as you really know LDY is a good place for a nature reserve.
