Ryanair

caardiff's point about the number of Faro flights from Bristol is certainly relevant not only in that, as he points out, Ryanair would know the proportion of its passengers with Wales addresses but they would also be aware that some people living in Wales use easyJet from BRS to FAO. No doubt Ryanair are hoping to attract some of these to its CWL flights without diluting its own BRS services too much.

The same applies with Newquay - where as with South Wales, at least a million people from Devon and Cornwall use BRS (CAA stats) - which has also been given a 2 x weekly FAO service for next summer to add to its current Ryanair services to Alicante and Hahn.

Looking at the Ryanair summer 17 timetable, although BRS-FAO remains at once daily the extra flights that were added in the peak months (12 weekly in August) are not shown for summer 2017 - yet anyway, some were added later for summer 16. It may be that they have in effect been transferred to CWL and NQY.
