The management at Cardiff aren't the brightest cookies in the jar are they? First they allow Flybe to compete with Stobartair on Dublin, and what happens next? - no Stobartair. Now in come Ryanair on FAO and how are Flybe supposed to sustain their service against the vastly superior economics of the 738? Growth has to be sustainable and the way developments in Cardiff are being managed, it's little wonder airlines approach with caution.
Can an airport refuse an airline wanting to set up a route if the airline is willing to pay its advertised rates? I would have thought there would be some laws about trying to stifle competition, though I might be wrong.
