I agree with everything you say. But an A330 won't teach him to fly either. A fighter or a commuter plane teaches flying skills, not a wide body. Developing instincts takes doing it over and over again. The skills are acquired over time. To push the TOGA switch on a go around, touch and go or whatever you want to call this, is ridiculous.
