Anyone else been in Rio this year?
I was glad I was sitting down when I opened the e-mails, and not drinking coffee either! Just opened the invoice for Rio SBGL operation with a 604. They have charged 12000 for 4 dayīs parking......roughly 400 for a toilet service, 320 for water (could have just filled it with the best whiskey!) and "misc 3rd party services of 4000 USD....."
I am asking for all supporting invoices, but even if they can provide these, it is so crazy, that I would probably boycot anything Brazilian and certainly any flights where I have a choice regarding tech stops.
Just curious if anyone else has got their invoices and been equally floored......
The thinking seems to be, Letīs really screw these people while we have a chance, rather than showcasing Brazil for future development, etc.
We were there all of 4 days and at this point, if I never see the country again, it will be too soon.

PS Comments about "you should have asked for projected charges in advance" are not interesting and donīt really help. The client wants to go, we go.....I donīt change that aspect. Just wondered if this was what everyone experienced, or was our handler the worst of the lot!
