If you want a cheaper path, I got into Qantas as a result of 2 or 3 hours most evenings on the Noversim with 747 software, (it was free) their comment "that practise certainly showed".
On your own computer the AeroWinx 747 precision simulator software is excellent with all the systems available. I'm not sure of the web address but their e-mail is
[email protected]. It used to be $4-500 to purchase including guidance manuals.
