In advance of receiving my Apple IPOD this week, I purchased a copy of the Windows XP upgrade, all legal and above board from a major department store in Zurich. I have a full legal version of Windows 98 Se on my current machine and had checked that I was suitable for upgrade via the Microsoft website. Anyway when I get the disk home and try to install, I hit the following problem; as the upgrade is German Language and my Windows 98 is in English, the disk wont install. After checking the Microsoft website again and reading several very unhelpful papers on the subject, I am at a loss as to what to do. Do any of you out in Pprunelend have any experience/suggestions as to what I should do? or have I wasted 200 CHF?
