But LBA is not attractive to people from South Yorkshire. Hardly anyone from South Yorkshire uses LBA [as a ratio of passenger throughput] - not surprising as it is a lot quicker and easier to travel the further distance to EMA from South Yorkshire. Also LBA in aviation terms is very very far from ideal.

On the other hand DSA is up against LBA and therefore struggles to gain enough passengers from West Yorkshire to make the most basic of routes work.

LEA though is quickest airport to get to from South Yorkshire (if we ignore low catchment DSA) and yet is close enough to hugely populated West Yorkshire to be attractive to that population of passengers. It also sits on the busiest rail lines in the country. Please say you understand or I am going to lay down on the TDZ of 32!
