A functional democracy
We have all the ingredients for logical progress to now occur, if and only if we participate in and insist upon our association functioning democratically, as designed. That this may not have happened in some circumstances recently, should be cause for inquiry and perhaps some rule changes.
If the membership engage with their new GC intelligently and they the GC work well together and with the new Chairman and Rod as IPC, then it appears to be a much clearer picture going forward (by virtue of the time we've had to reflect upon the TA debacle and the many questions that now need answering OPENLY), than where we recently found ourselves, precariously about to usher in changes and clauses we knew little about and which had been cobbled together behind closed doors.
Regardless of who our chairman is for the next 2 years, let's all participate intelligently and steer our GC and by extension him as chairman, in the most logical, responsible and forthright direction.
Personally, I admire these guys and girls for being prepared to act on our behalf, so let's show them good direction.
