To be fair, if the staff member concerned is being truthful, the photos were stolen from her iCloud account. It is the same as someone stealing a print out of your photo album.
If you aren't familiar with Apple's proprietary online storage service most leave it set to automatically synch their digital photos. All very secure they reassure their customers. Unless a malicious person obtains your password and publishes your personal photos.
Yes there must have been at least a degree of unworldliness involved (no way I'd use iCloud) but should someone lose their job and suffer trial by internet for being the victims of theft? As silly as the images are they were never intended for public consumption and there was no intention (I assume!) to discredit the company.
Shouldn't people be shaming the person who actually did post the images?
