Seriously, it's this "Baroness" thing - ordinary "doers" don't get to be Barons or Baronesses, occasionally, the master race become Knights or Ladies but only after they have served their useful purpose.
I guess I have just about had it with the politico's who in the vast majority have never served any useful purpose (2 Jags comes to mind). "Punishment of the innocent" and the "reward of the non-participants". Mind you, twas ever thus.
For me Military Medals are a completely different animal and are generally awarded on merit whereas "Honours" are often handed out to cronies, donors, and dubious TV and pop personalities. Is there a donor price list to get a suitable seat in the HOL.?..I think we should know.
