CaptainDooney is correct, in 20 years of being a Gold Card holder my bags have never been first off, nearly always last, even with the yellow first tags or orange priority. You fly QR or AY and it's completely different.
Last time I flew LAX-LHR T5B with BA (no status), I was all the way down the back in Y. Got through customs to the belt in T5A to find some First Class passenger by the same of Lewis Hamilton (and his entourage) had been brought directly to baggage reclaim by car. Left them waiting there, as my bag was amongst the first dozen or so to emerge...
