Apparently some healthy increases seen on markets to Spain, Portugal, Greece & Canaries.
That suggests that despite the loss of around 17k Flybe pax seen last July, that other routes are significantly improved - about 7 percent up On last year. August should be even better.
It's also been apparent this year that there is a significant rise of corporate jet activity.
Looking ahead, it's no secret that EZY are struggling to deliver their schedule at Gatwick this year and gossip says are expected to slightly trim the LGW operation to improve operating resilience in summer 2017.
There is potential for a LGW based A319 or two to be redeployed elsewhere in southern England, where they can be parked overnight and where the peak hour runway slots are available to serve the routes with the demand.
The 186 seat A320 will increasingly be the EZY aircraft of choice for Gatwick ops.
