Check the world security matrix/map and that will show that Morocco is a lower risk than some other countries. This matrix is worked out taking into account security measures and the strength of its national military. What I will grant you is the notion of where is safe these days? Terrorism is alive and well on our doorstep.
I thought you guys might actually be happy at having something a little more exotic than what you are normally used to.
Couldn't agree more easyflyer83. UK - Morocco passenger numbers grew 3% in April 2016 compared with the year before (sadly the CAA still have no more up to date stats on their website). MAN - RAK grew 11% for the same period. Neither strike me as signs of a market in decline or gripped by fear of terrorism.
Perceived lack of capacity on other routes (such as TFS) should be not be a cause to moan when routes come along to new destinations - albeit Ryanair is actually returning to the LPL - RAK route.
