Yes of course.

I'd so some more research before getting into this industry as flight crew. That's my best piece of advice being Airbus F/O in Spain (having being expat before as well).

On the other hand, it is extremely hard in this industry to work in your home country, never mind in your own city. You might not appreciate this at the moment but time will go by and sooner or later you will want to come back. Chances of getting back home starting in Spain are higher than those you will have starting off in Australia.
