Ex EU? GOT is in Sweden which is in the EU (Norway isn't, might be that you're thinking of?). GOT is also a small airport so not very good for onward connections unless you were going to places that already have direct flights from MAN (OSL, ARN, HEL, etc).
Shame to see them go though. I've always been under the impression the route was sustained by Astra Zeneca (who have a big office in Mölndal outside of Gothenburg as well as a facility south of Manchester). Might be that Astra have either reduced or stop buying seats and that made the route unsustainable? When I've checked it has seemed the prices are always considerably higher on that route compared to via any of the european hubs (although I suppose they might have been able to get good yields out of the people who were prepared to pay for direct).
