Ugh. So EK tries to look hip and progressive because they have female pilots, but then choose to portray her as Pilot Barbie? Make up your minds.
If anyone thinks this is an unkind reference, just imagine if the same spot had been filmed with say, Wizofoz waxing effusive about being a "manly man", and you get the idea of how ridiculous the ad appears.
Is this really what prospective pilot joiners wonder about - how many shoes they can acquire? Hope she can pick up a few fashion tips on those night turnarounds to those stylish destinations like Islamabad and Kolkata.
Sad really. All of the female pilots I flew with at EK were a pleasure to work with (*) and consummate professionals, this cringe-inducing, vapid nonsense does them no favours.
(* The Teutonic Psycho aside.)
