Although he is being pessimistic and obviously making judgement over the future of Eastern Airways you might be aware of how fragile the aviation sector is especially in the UK and if you did some research you may realise why he said what he did as Eastern are very much attached to the oil industry and has fallen in demand, it also operates internally in Europe which may be affected with brexit.
Just my view but to be honest I would stick with your own well paid job for security, and as you say we all have to pay the bills!
