ImPlaneCrazy- Yes I agree that with the EU directive sometimes strange decisions have to be made but on Sunday it was a slightly different situation as LTN is due to depart PFO 23:25 and BHX 23:35 so you were always going to have one set of pax delayed.
Just still cannot understand why BHX aircraft and crew didn't take BHX pax back and the LTN pax waited for the delayed aircraft whom would have been fine with hours as didn't leave until 18:35 in the end.
The only thing I could think of was there was a TUI executive on the LTN flight
