I guess some could be shuttled down to London if there are seats available. There is a tea-time flight to ORD from LHR I believe, although many of the MAN pax would be flying on to other destinations from ORD so could be transferred onto JFK flights from LHR for example, of which there are plenty. If pax are simply told to come back the next day, that might explain why certain flights have been extra busy, but if the following day's flight is already busy, what then?

More disappointing though if MAN is top of the drop list.
CX to MAN always seemed to get hit when there was a delay of some sorts, I asked the question why always the MAN flt why not somewhere else, I can't remember all the whys and wherefores but it made commercial sense unfortunately, as it is one of the last European flts to leave HKG the impact was considered less, it was normally caused by a late inbound YVR flt and the a/c would get switched around with a subsequent 6 hour delay to MAN!
