The logo next to the door is so that the RAF is prominent when the VIP steps out through the door with all those cameras watching him or her trying not to trip down the steps.
In that case, they put the logo in the wrong place then. Seeing as 1) door L1 being open would cover the logo; and 2) door L2 is usually the one in use!
I would go along with a Union Flag option instead.
