I do agree with you that the Wallaby pack greatly improved on the performances against both England and South Africa and yes, the backs were extremely dis-jointed. However, I am from the old school of thought that forwards win matches and a backline plays off its forwards momentum and domination around the ruck area and shows the way with brutal defence. Regardless of how many strategies a team can deploy, never seen a team beat the All Blacks without total forward domination. I certainly wouldn't describe the Aussie pack on saturday night as dominant or brutal!!! Look at England, there pack is a tight mean machine and personally think their backs are over-rated. Yet, I live in hope of a Wallaby miracle!!!
