Ahhh police security, I remember the RAF plods doing the Ten security sweeps prior to departure, they would request we open panels etc so they could have a look inside. Asking one day do you actually know what any of this stuff is, he replied no, so what are you expecting to see I asked, a big black ball marked bomb with a fizzing fuse? instant humour failure and a rather quiet search continued.
We did have one plod get rather adventurous and asked me to open a panel up on the top of the fin, now even by any stretch of ones imagination, a terrorist would need to bring his own hydraulic platform to plant his bomb up there and also considering it had a lot of fuel behind it I graciously declined.. much to the plods chargrin.
