Some information from Craig Kreeger, CEO of Virgin Atlantic. Taken from a TiEVA event in Manchester today.
Key point is confirmation that they now view MAN as "hub" and not an "outstation". Also clear objective to support businesses (which I think means more of a balance between leisure and business routes moving forwards).
Subject to economic conditions, I think we can expect to see further growth and new routes over the next few years.
Great news.
Just having a lookaround the VS website and noticed they have DTW in
Destination map | Virgin Atlantic
Detroit (DTW) - London Heathrow (LHR)
London Heathrow (LHR) - Detroit (DTW)
Detroit (DTW) - Manchester (MAN)
Manchester (MAN) - Detroit (DTW)
but SFO, BOS and JFK not showing correctly. So, website info not reliable but DTW was on someone's mind......
