Any A320 pilot must have noticed the scuff marks at the back of his shoes just above the heel. If you feel along the side of the floor mounted central footrest towards the rear, there are two sharp edged bolt heads which pulverise any leather which comes into contact with them.
Either Airbus come out with a modification or I'm going to have to take my work shoes into a cobbler to have an extra layer of leather sewn on.
