All FAA T/R's are conducted to ATP practical test standards, even if added to a PPL or CPL. If you go and add a jet, say, on a PPL, it won't automatically convert to an ATPL upon passing the written exam. You would have to do the full ATP check ride on your next recurrent training.

You cannot be paid on a PPL as a pilot. Do you hold another ICAO CPL? Do a CPL check ride with the T/R. Suggest you contact the training centre manager or program manager.
hi,May i ask a question,i am a FAA CPL multi and single pilot with Instrument rating,but flight time not enough 1000, if i join some training and get the simulator done,can i take theFAA ATP Written test ?or if it is i didn't meet the 1000 or 1500 hours ,i can't have the ATP ?even the written test? but if also i want have a type of B737 rating,should i must have ATP or my CPL is fine? but if i get my ATP written ,then going take the B737 type rating,is this rating will put on my ATP time? i am so confuse,hope can get the answer .
