Pacemakers are quite distinctive on an X-ray, normally placed in the left upper chest wall with one or two wires being placed in the heart. Not all pacemakers funtion all the time, it depends on how they are programmed. To interogate the pacemaker a secialst piece pf hospital equipment is required.
