@speed alive rotate the only thing in a jet that can get an engine "critical" is the crosswind. However, the ce will always be the downwind one (when the wind is coming from the side of the live one) because the live engine thrust yaws the plane towards the "dead leg", and if you add a crosswind coming from the live side you will get the yaw moment worst, so you will need more rudder to counteract it.
