This is for NigeF51D
I'm looking at my father's logbook for 17th August 1976 at Summer Camp St Mawgan which shows that he flew WP914 that day. He also flew WZ847 during that camp. So it looks like there's a 50% chance he flew you that day.
WZ 847 is G-CPMK which attended the celebration and WP914 is F-AZSM.
During his 25 year AEF Chipmunk career 1951/76, my father flew forty six different aircraft and must have taken thousands of cadets for their first flights. They wouldn't have known, of course, that , only a few years earlier, he was the Captain of Wellingtons and Liberators.
I have my own 414 from the early 60's and did my PPL on Chipmunks at Elstree in 1965. Wonderful memories.
