Bring the biggest kite you own. I have a 20, 14 and 8. Use the 20 about 95% of the time, the 14 about 4% and the 8 rarely indeed.
The summer months see a 10 knot sea breeze just after lunch, sometimes more but often less. It is also 40 something degrees and the sand is so hot many a newbie have popped their leading edges when setting up or resting.
Unfortunately you must be licensed by the Municipality to kite here for insurance reasons etc. Not sure how visitors fare.
The kite beach is the Wooloongong Uni beach - all taxi drivers should know it.
