Licensing / renewal of MEP when i have a typerating

EASA Instrument rating IR(A) is always coupled with the class rating or the type rating of the specific aeroplane. The licence endorsment of the EASA instrument rating can be as follows:

multi-engine piston aeroplanes - MEP(Land)/IR
single-engine piston aeroplanes - SEP(Land)/IR
type rating (ATR 42/72) - ATR 42/72/IR
