Hi

You need to speak to Barry Peat at Gama Aviation (01276 859260). They created the AML STC to enable LPV capability to existing or new GNS430W or 530W installations.

The amendment to remove the need for the additional annunciator where other criteria are met is recent (the past month or so).

Garmin GPS System upgrade adds LPV capability via EASA AML STC (Approved Model List Supplemental Type Certificate) for CS23 aircraft.

The approval of LPV capability is for the following existing Garmin GPS units: GNS530W, GNS530AW, GNS530W-TAWS, GNS530AW-TAWS, GNS430W & GNS430AW. The STC approves the operational use of these units for the LPV approaches in accordance AMC20-28 and other Performance based navigation (PBN) specifications.

(The one-off authorised use of this STC just costs €300 per aircraft registration and includes a Certificate of Design, installation details and Aircraft Flight Manual supplement)
