Our G430 annunciator is perfectly visible without extra annunciators in my periferal vision, even though its less than an inch out of the dimensions quoted in previous post.
Seems no safety case for a lot of money as usual in aviation!
I think common sense will prevail, and we will upgrade to the G430W and accept it's not officially IFR approved.
