TL I'm interested in this one

Can someone enlighten me and everyone else on the saga of the NON CATIII Rwy 33 ILS.

Its been rumbling away for many months.

Is it the Glide Slope propagation plane that’s causing the trouble or is there subsidence of the GS antenna array. As part of the extension works I believe the GS was re located from the East of the runway to the West.

Or is there a problem at the Northerly end with the Localiser Array ?

The project although initially successful (long Runway in use); has gradually turned into a slow burn Aeronautical Civil Engineering Case study worthy of public interest.

As a aside where is Olton Pete - He/she is usually well informed on things like this.

On a more serious note: Are there any publicly available sources where I can get an objective overview of the progress or otherwise of this project.
