If MAN can offer good onward connections (and a smooth product when the TP is complete) for regions that do not have a shuttle link to LHR and may not have a shuttle to AMS then that may work. You will always get some wins in competition with these two, but impressed often than not these two giants will win out.
Places like Cardiff, Norwich, Exeter, Southampton and even some further afield are decent markets for MAN to explore.
You just need the airlines to buy into a service like Flybe, which some of them seem to be doing.
