Yesterdays American Air force Museum show at Duxford was a disaster for those that frequent the areas south of the airfield during displays.
Well, at least that stops people watching an expensive-to-put-on airshow for free!
I can remember the very last air show held at Bournemouth Airport back in 1991 when farmers were charging spectators to park in their fields to the south of the airport which resulted in many of the display pilots complaining of the large crowds under their flightpaths. Also the crowds lining the perimeter road got the fright of their lives when the Canberra burst a tyre on landing and careered of the runway towards them!
