All fair points(even that that has nothing to do with Wizz in particular, it's more a life(style) decission).

If you go to one of this "peanuts" carriers you have normally a goal(or you are such a bad pilot, then it might be really the end as well ^^) - e.g. grow from a "green" and still wet behind the ears kid to a real pilot or simple get a good TR(A320/B737), fly a lot, get a couple of tousand hours, best in command and then get a good (best DEC) job.

That's it.

Problem is that more and more carriers are crappy, others you might end up being a FO for ever.

Still you might consider that the pay for most(not all!!) airline jobs is well(talking about Captain now)in the range of any medium management position(non flying) of any major company. Just compared to this poor people pilots still have a life(e.g. having a Ryanair 5/4 roster or some other perks) compared with medium management(know some guys that work their ass of at least Mon-Fri late, some even as well Sat, and all for a Captains pay or normally even less).

Don't think that the grass is always greener on the other side, fact is, as well non aviation jobs went from bad to worse. If you know someone that does better he might be that one example that sticks out of all the bad jobs.

I agree that aviation was much better 20 years ago(and much better even before), but that ship has sailed. The industry has changed. The only thing that might bring flying hours/year down is if they finally publish that "radiation/year" records. Till now it is all very vague anf I have a pretty good idea why they handle it like that.

But complaining about facts, calling people that maybe have no other options idiots is not a nice thing to do. You cannot turn back time.
