The meet and greet has begun construction, and is quite a large site.
I assume this is demolition of the old hangars to build more staff parking. I'm sure I read this doesn't require planning permissions due to being covered by permitted development?
I really don't know if the hangar bit does or does not require Planning Consent but I think it may because parking for staff or otherwise is strictly a non aviation use. If on the other hand the demolition of the hangar(s) was to facilitate an aviation use say for the sake of argument parking the snow vehicles then maybe not. However I am sure MAN know what they are doing it was just a surprise that hangars were being demolished to assist with the TP (if thats what it is for) as I don't think it has been mentioned anywhere before.
