Other options I suppose could have been York South, Hull West or Sherburn Slightly North. Or even Church Fenton Central.
I was told this afternoon that it has been moved to Wickenby and that some of the pilots will have to fly in to Humberside and then the veterans will get taxis to Wickenby!
Wickenby runway isn't the longest in the world, you wouldn't want to be getting a laden spamcan out of there on a hot day.
