Today's first LCY flight delayed for the second day running due, it seems, to technical problems with the Saab. Now seems to be an at least once a week event. Knock on delays or even cancellation affect subsequent sectors, as getting a replacement airframe to the island seems to take around 3 hours. For those with connections MAN may be the better option.

BACF have been playing with the summer timetable again reducing the maximum number of daily flights by the Saab back to 3 a day, but leaving the EJet flights on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Is this a way of dealing with the problem, or has the Saab been redeployed elsewhere for a couple of sectors? Is the expected demand at their ever higher fares just not there? Or is the lack of reliability coming into play?
