Seeking advise for CPL

Hi All

I am new to PPRuNe forum and seeking advise from other community members.

I am 39. Also am Seeking a career change from IT and looking at aviation as next profession of my choice and liking. Can you please advise, if it not too late to join aviation and seeking career opportunities in it?

Also, I am researching on flying schools located at Parafield Airport (YPPF). I spoke to one such school and have been offered training as follows:
  • Diploma of Aviation (CPL - Aeroplane)
  • Diploma of Aviation (Flight Instructor)

During my training, I will be trained and transitioned between DA20 > C172 > SR20. However, they are all single engine aircraft and I am curious how important is to train on twin engine planes?

Furthermore, how important is Instrument Flight Operations to seek a job in any airline?

I heard that Instrument rating can be earned later, but gaining hours is important. In fact instrument rating is much easier after you have some experience in flying. Can you please confirm, if this is true?

Thanks in advance for sharing your thoughts on this.
