He said the flight timings were not the best and they were trying to negotiate with the Chinese authorities to try and improve them.
The planned service was also trumpeted as a schedule for both British and Chinese Tourists.
However weeks after the announcement I could not find any sites or booking agents in the UK online selling them to British tourists.
A huge blow if true BHX had announced them with a fanfare.
No doubt Hainan to Manchester 4 times a week at good timings well advertised would hardly of helped.
I guess the express sh!t happens comes to mind.
I was watching BBC World this morning; they were talking to the boss of Eurostar this morning, and he said that inbound tourism from USA and Far East was down - justifying their 3% fall in passenger numbers. I guess that, and the Hainan service to MAN has conspired to kill the BHX operation off - I can pretty well guarantee that a MAN poster who's handle commences "bag" will be laughing his socks off.
Ce la vie!
