Perhaps the parent company IAG have a plan that hasn't appeared in the public domain yet. Anything that I have heard about the summer sun routes all points to the fact that they are doing very well and have been profitable, will Aer Lingus simply throw all that away?
Its time the management at Harbour came up with a plan to try and get growth going again, it appears that the airport is stagnant at present while all the new business is going to Aldergrove. Perhaps Harbour are just waiting until Easy get the hump with Aldergrove and trying to talk them into a split base again, who knows....
panpanpanpan re sun flights I have heard the complete opposite this summer, yields and loads very poor and having to offer 25% discount to try and stimulate traffic. If you cannot sell Spain and its islands this summer and make a profit you never will be able to!
