A small caution on the Obama/Messiah complex. There's no disputing he's a likeable guy, but that doesn't automatically correlate.

I found it fascinating to watch Greg Combet in the previous government, being feted as some kind of 'troubleshooter-in-chief' to be used as a last resort to fix chronic messes. So far as I could tell, all he did was make durr-obvious decisions to put a bullet to busted-arse projects. Nice, smart guy by all accounts, but not the Messiah.
For some reason, Mr Hood reminds me of him....
