I hope that MAG has contingency plans to provide an incremental apron extension with some urgency. Other carriers are believed to be interested in increasing based units too, and new services such as the Oman Air schedule must be accommodated also. The new stands being constructed to the NW of T2 are required for TP-generated overspill. There is a pressing need to provide more aircraft stands for underlying expansion of schedules in addition to these. The T3 capacity issue has already been raised on here. T1 is headed for a stand-availability crunch as well.

Do you know which carriers? If it is the locos then it can probay be addressed by an extension to terminal 3 to the north? My feeling is that in 10 years we will see plans to demolish and redevelop this site as well so anything done here can be reasonably inexpensive.
An alternative to provide more contact stands would be to build the 4th finger pier of the extended T2 which is currently planned to be non contact stand (the area currently/recently used as a car park).
If runway capacity becomes an issue, surely things can be done to increase this (e.g. Air traffic controll procedures, landing aids, taxiways, crossing points)?
